Was recovering nicely, due to be discharged. On the day he was to go home, he suddenly was incoherent and unable to even sit up. SInce then, it’s as though he’s sedated. He was on no pain medication. Vital signs are all good. Catscan shows nothing. Bloodwork all normal. He’s just asleep and unresponsive. Just hours before, he was talking about current events and joking with the doctor. What’s up?

I think I have to get toric lenses (that is what the optician said) because of the astigmatism but will any type work for the astigmatism AND the myopia or will they only work for the astigmatism.

So it’s worth a try!

As they were swapping places the Physician said to the Vet ‘Gee you know sometimes I wish all my Patients were cats and dogs?’ The Vet replied ‘Really, why is that?’ The Physician answered ‘Because my wife has a dog and she knows to the hour when the dog is due to see the Vet for it’s annual vaccination, so you get to see your Patients at least once a year and can give them the once over. Me, I only get to see my Patients when they are ILL and nine times out of ten it is too late for me to head off any serious illness, should I be given time to detect it, as all they really want is a quick fix!’

Yes we are all willing to keep Vet appointments, even those booked on a yearly basis, but how often do we see our primary physician just for a routine check up? Yet we take the car to the garage for it’s annual service but never bother to have our own body serviced? If we did, then we could head off many ailments: blood pressure, cholesterol, angina, weight, fitness, stress, diabetes, anemia and even catch cancer earlier on! Instead we look after the dog, cat, goldfish and car better, because we truly believe it will ‘never’ happen to us, that is until the day it does! Best of Luck
